Love/Hate Relationship...

#Vexingthings

This picture you see reflects the expression on  my face as i write this. STRAIGHT FACE. One of the kids on my street who always says "Hi Diddy" aka (Hi Aunty) to me whenever i walk up the street saw me today and immediately shut her mouth.

I woke up today in high spirits, ( had a pleasant weekend), studied a little, did everything on my To-Do list, until i saw a message "Exams Postponed".

Why would a university postpone exams a day before the exam? Are they learners?

I'm beyond pissed!!!.

Anyway, i'm not going to talk too much because i was talking to a friend at church on sunday and she said i've been bashing India lately. Today i'm not bashing India, i'm bashing the Brilliant Moron's who  decided to postpone the exams till the 30th of April when we have 2 weeks free.

Seriously India could be amazing, but we're still not on the same page. Our relationship is definitely a love/hate relationship.

Summer-Time in India a.k.a Hell on Earth...

Before i came to India, people say "summer-time" and i just think,(ok shebi it's just when rain does not fall and small sun comes out), but this past two months has shown me what "summer-time" really means.

First of all, the heat in my old apartment can fry a stone, due to the fact that i was  right below the terrace, the sun heats the terrace during the day,and (days when i'm unable to wet the terrace) i suffer the heat at night, and it feels like the sun just started shining.

I have to shower like 5 times daily, sometimes i even shower more times than the muslim's pray daily. and then at night before i sleep, i have to sprinkle water on my bed (it would now be like i'm bed-wetting) or else no sleep that night.

And then luck happened when i moved, cool house, enough ventilation, 3rd floor, everything is fine apart from the craziness of some people in my area.

Can you imagine this evening, i was going to buy foodstuff with friends, i gently came out of my gate and i felt a stone hit my arm, i turned back and saw to small rats giggling and BOOM i went all crazy Lagos girl on them, they were so lucky they started running - them for see craze.

Anyway back to my summer story, it rained yesterday to the delight of everyone and it was sooooooo cold and cool until we saw sun today and it became summer again,(sad face).

Anyway i just had to write and vent, in this India eehn, Summer Time should be otherwise known as Fire Time o.

India and it's everyday drama....Oh Boy!

This India sef. wetin i find come here? There is too much wahala attached to dealing with Indians i swear down. From House owners to auto drivers, shop owners, plumbers and all the bayal's in this city..

Ok so i just moved into a new house and i was excited about being in a cool and less expensive house with a new room mate, not knowing that this first week was going to be a stressful one.

Dealing with the internet company engineers who try to exploit me for cash (am i a learner?)although i still don't have internet and the house owner and tenants who keep watching me and my rommie like a watchdog  to see if we'll bring a boy into the compound(If you don't already know, no1 rule in my new apartment is - NO BOYS), it's all just so excruciating.

I just want to YELL.
Its bad enough that my spoken English has gotten really bad, as i have to breakdown every word i say to most Indians so they can understand me, its worst than my Nigerian pigeon English .

Not one day goes by without drama, i tell you - but all in all, shebi na me enter plane come here. :(

What to do?
