The Jonathan's - Who is the better leader?

I watched a clip from Mrs Jonathan's meeting with Channels TV on the internet and i found it very amusing how she always manages to drop some sort of bomb every time she has a public speech. Chai....

Although this is a very serious issue, but as Nigerians we can't help but joke about everything...Right now, the new slang on the lips of every Nigerian is "There is God o", "All this blood we're sharing" etc...
Yes, even I have used it a couple of times and had a good laugh about it.

But then I stopped to think about it.

Mrs Jonathan has managed to get so much done in a few days with the gathering of her little meeting and her display of emotion.

Not withstanding her grammatical bombshells, i must say she has upstaged her husband who has been speaking to the media for 3 weeks but no one has actually understood one word of the mumble jumble he's been saying.

This brings me to wonder, which one of them is the better leader ?
Sometimes I honestly wish Goodluck Jonathen were like his wife.

That being said, Its almost four weeks and our girls are still missing. The whole world is protesting and hash-tagging #BringBackOurGirls. Nigeria is on all news and social media network. America has stepped in.

Yes, we need help in Nigeria and I don't think we should be afraid to ask for it.

Missing Malaysian Airline Passengers- DOA (Dead or Alive) ???

Its been 3 days since i saw the shocking "Breaking News - Malaysian Airline Missing" on bbc and honestly i just thought - Oh, they will find it! But unfortunately, we're still on the matter.

239 people from 14 nationalities (153 Chinese, including one child, 38 Malaysians, 7 Indonesians, 6 Australians, 5 indians, 4 French, 3 Americans including one child, 2 each from New Zealand, Ukraine and Canada) have gone off the radar. Nowhere to be found!

How is that even possible???

My heart goes out to the distraught families waiting for answers and thinking of the worst. I honestly cannot say i know how they feel, no-one does.

And i must say, the media is doing nothing but making things harder on the families, having tons of cameras flashing at the faces of people in distress is just messed up.

At this point there isn't much to say.

Join me in praying for the families of these people, that they somehow find Hope and Strength to overcome this uncertain trying period.

That time of the year...

Now, this blog post was inspired by the grandmother mosquitoes attacking me in my room this humid night, i call them "grandmother mosquitoes" because they are immune to odomos (if you catch my drift).

I can't sleep, Hyderabad is hot, very hot... Its 32 degrees during the day and 24 degrees at night, and of cos i always have the ill luck of living in apartments right below the terrace. In fact its that time of the year when you drink water like a fish and still never get satisfied.

Now i'm not just here to rant about terrorist mosquitoes or the weather forecast.

February has always been an amazing month for me, in fact in the last 2 years, I've had awesome stories to tell about February - My Birth Month. I feel really blessed to see yet another year and i thank God for the amazing people in my life right now.

Though everyone gets excited when their birthdays approach, but sometimes you realize the older you get, the less excited you become (speaking for myself). Although, right now i should be reminiscing about past birthdays, what i did last year, planning my birthday this year(i'll leave the last one to my room mate) etc but all i can think about now is digging out all my summer cloths from my closet.

I mean, who thought i'll be in India when i'm 1 quarter century?

Looks like the mosquitoes have found someone else's blood to suck, i should sleep now (drinks water).
GOODNIGHT WORLD
