Summer-Time in India a.k.a Hell on Earth...

Before i came to India, people say "summer-time" and i just think,(ok shebi it's just when rain does not fall and small sun comes out), but this past two months has shown me what "summer-time" really means.

First of all, the heat in my old apartment can fry a stone, due to the fact that i was  right below the terrace, the sun heats the terrace during the day,and (days when i'm unable to wet the terrace) i suffer the heat at night, and it feels like the sun just started shining.

I have to shower like 5 times daily, sometimes i even shower more times than the muslim's pray daily. and then at night before i sleep, i have to sprinkle water on my bed (it would now be like i'm bed-wetting) or else no sleep that night.

And then luck happened when i moved, cool house, enough ventilation, 3rd floor, everything is fine apart from the craziness of some people in my area.

Can you imagine this evening, i was going to buy foodstuff with friends, i gently came out of my gate and i felt a stone hit my arm, i turned back and saw to small rats giggling and BOOM i went all crazy Lagos girl on them, they were so lucky they started running - them for see craze.

Anyway back to my summer story, it rained yesterday to the delight of everyone and it was sooooooo cold and cool until we saw sun today and it became summer again,(sad face).

Anyway i just had to write and vent, in this India eehn, Summer Time should be otherwise known as Fire Time o.
